Like the Community Service aspect of our two-part Earth Day "extravaganza," the Celebration offers something for everyone. And, by hosting a zero waste celebration, we've got a little something for the planet too. This year, Green Columbus has formed a partnership with ARTillery to bring art to the celebration. Early Bird Alert: limited-edition 2011 Earth Day bags (provided by Make Believe Monsters and Vivisect Apparel) will be given to the first 300 customers. Located on the Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Garden Campus (the southeast corner of Franklin Park), the Celebration is FREE and open to the public (whether or not you were able to volunteer at a worksite).   • Main Stage coordinated by Listening Lamp Productions: leading local bands, featured speakers including Franklin County Commissioners and the Mayor, the announcement of the Earth Day Challenge Cup winners, and more.
  • Kids' Activities Area sponsord by Columbus Parent Magazine: crafts, story time, face painting, games, and more.
  • Educational Pavilion sponsored by OSU President's and Provost's Council on Sustainability: eco presentations, cooking demos, movies, and more.
  • Booths: learn about area non-profits, clubs, groups and businesses with green missions, products or services. (If you have a booth, click here for details. If you need to pay for your booth, click there instead.)
  • Art Aspects by ARTillery: enjoy, create, or purchase original artwork. Hands-on community workshops will include a live art sculpture, live screen printing (upcycle YOUR blank t-shirt), art activities for children and more. Learn more: Create art at the event.   • Food and Beverage Vendors: most vendors are local and/or organic with options for every taste so enjoy the pickin's!
  • Zero Waste Event: "Zero" waste means virtually nothing goes to the landfill. 90% or more is recycled or composted so, check the labels on the bins before you toss stuff in! Much thanks to Eartha Limited for helping to making this possible.
  • FREE Chair Massages offered by AVEDA.
  • Silent auction of locally produced art at the ARTillery booth.
  • Opportunity to purchase the NEW USPS Forever "Go Green" Stamps (for a limited time after the unveiling on the main stage at 3:10 p.m.).
